HUGHES INSURANCE ANNOUNCES FOYLE CUP SPONSORSHIP

Three year sponsorship of region’s premier youth football tournament

Hughes Insurance, Northern Ireland’s largest insurance provider, have announced the launch of a new three year sponsorship deal with The Foyle Cup. The tournament, one of the biggest youth football competitions in Europe, takes place each summer with over 100 teams competing across different age groups and will be known as the Hughes Insurance Foyle Cup under the new agreement.

Speaking at the launch of the Hughes Insurance Foyle Cup 2012, Brian McDowell Head of Sales and Marketing at Hughes Insurance, said: “As a local man who grew up in Derry, I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to partner with such a prestigious tournament. The passion for football in the region is second to none, and I’m looking forward to the big kick off in July – the Hughes Insurance Foyle Cup 2012 is set to be a fantastic football experience for fans of all ages.” 

Foyle Cup Chairman Michael Hutton added: “Hughes Insurance shares our aim of making The Foyle Cup one of the world’s biggest youth football tournaments and we’re incredibly excited to be working with them to achieve that goal.
